What happens if I forget my master password? ▼
Your master password is never stored on our servers — it only exists in your browser. If you forget it, use your recovery backup file (downloaded from Account Settings → Export Data). Without the password or the backup, vault data cannot be recovered. This is by design — only you can access your vault.
How does the Dead Man's Switch actually work? ▼
You set a check-in interval (e.g. 90 days). If you don't check in within that window, the system escalates: first an email warning, then a grace period. If the grace period also expires without a check-in, your heirs are notified and the smart contracts unlock. You can check in at any time to reset the countdown.
Can my heirs access the vault before I die? ▼
No. Heirs can verify their identity and confirm their role, but vault contents remain fully encrypted and inaccessible until the Dead Man's Switch triggers. Even our servers cannot decrypt your data — only the combination of your master password and the switch trigger unlocks inheritance access.
What blockchains do smart contracts support? ▼
Currently Solana and Ethereum mainnet. Testnet deployment is available for Legacy Pro users who want to test the flow before committing to mainnet. Additional chain support (Polygon, Base) is planned for a future release.
Can I change my heirs after setting up a smart contract? ▼
Yes — you can update heir assignments in the app at any time. However, if a smart contract has already been deployed on-chain, changing heirs requires deploying a new contract. The old contract will need to be manually revoked. We recommend finalising heir assignments before deploying.
How do I cancel my subscription? ▼
Go to Account Settings → Plan & Billing → Cancel Subscription. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing period. After cancellation, your plan downgrades to Free (3 vault items, 1 heir). Your data is never deleted — you can upgrade again at any time.
